The duxianqin is a single string plucked chordophone from Southern China. It bears great resemblance to the vietnamese dan bau, from it probably descended. Like the dan bau, also the duxianqin is use a mixture of flageolets notes and glissandi produced by moving the neck. Differing from its vietnamese cousin, the body of the duxianqin is frequently made of bamboo instead of wood.
